Dhall online meetups?

Hello everyone!

Question: Would people like to organize recurring online meetups about Dhall, via video chat?

My interest in Dhall was dormant - I heard about it but wasn’t really looking - until about 2 years ago, when I implemented a full standard-compliant Dhall interpreter in Scala. This experience was very educational for me, and I got some ideas about where Dhall could go and what could be done to improve the Dhall experience. My background is mostly Scala but I am slowly getting up to speed with Haskell.

I would be interested in meeting people online via video chat and have recurring meetups, say once a month or so, where people would meet each other and exchange their ideas, motivation, and experience. I’d love to see how people have been using Dhall in practice and what directions would be good for further evolution, etc.

  • Time? I am in the European time zone, while I guess lots of people are in California or other U.S. time zones. A suitable time could be say 12am California time.

  • Video hosting? There are some free options for that; jitsi meetings for example, or google meets.

The Slack channel seems to be dormant, what is the best way of coordinating?
