Expense proposal: Document language server setup

I’d like to propose a $100 feature bounty for a new contributor to document how to:

  • Install the dhall-lsp-server executable
  • Set up the executable with various editors that support language servers (e.g. VSCode, Vim, and Emacs)

I can see this as a common task relevant to all new users of the Dhall ecosystem that would benefit from quality documentation.

Like with the previous proposal, the motivation of this proposal is to bring in a new contributor and also to advertise that documentation contributions are welcomed and honored by our community.

According to our expense guidelines I need to formally document the following:

  • What purpose is the expense for?

To document how to set up language server support in various editors

  • Is this a one-time or recurring expense?

    One-time

  • What is the amount you with to expense?

    $100

For reference, our current project balance is $401.88.

The expense is approved the same way we approve changes to the language standard.

Alright, since nobody objected this expense meets the approval criteria. I will advertise this task.

I proposed the documentation here: https://github.com/dhall-lang/dhall-lang/pull/907

@tristanC completed this but elected to not claim the bounty:

… so we’ll reappropriate it for another project
